The Bank Cafe & Restaurant
2 The Square, HuntlyI went for a meal with my cousin and as I am gluten and lactose intolerant the staff were excellent and made sure that the food I had was free of gluten and lactose. They were extremely helpful and friendly and I will certainly be back and recommend The Bank , Huntly as a restaurant to visit .Dietary restrictions: The Bank is very helpful regarding dietary requirements and take every opportunity to make sure you get what you are asking for.

The Merry Kettle Tea Shoppe
25 Duke St, HuntlyAfter a busy day in delightful Huntly, I was so ready for food and my first two choices ruled themselves out for perfectly valid reasons. I’m going to be back in the town a lot, so they won’t lose out on my opinion in future as I‘ve enjoyed meals there in the past. As I wandered sadly round the bonny Square, a helpful local ( who’d noted my search) pointed down a side street at a little statue of a chef, outside what turned out to be the most warm, welcoming and tasty experience for a hungry, by now ravenous, traveller. It was quiet, but from the chat between the young staff members and locals, I gathered that it had been very busy earlier… and I soon found out why. Being time-limited, I chose the fastest thing I could think of…a cheese dog. Knowing the normal size of such things, I ordered a side portion of chips. Didn’t need them as the dog turned out to be of Great Dane proportions. Oh thank you. And I managed the chips, of course. Delicious, filling and reasonably priced. Super-helpful staff, including the young man who rescued me when I couldn’t find the light-switch for the ladies’. This was a definite “find” and will draw me back with friends and family. One thing that really impresses was that each of the swiftly-cleared tables had a clear notice that it was ready for customers. Clever and considerate as I know of several times in other places when I’ve thought a table was clear, and ended up with my elbows in someone else’s tea spillings or crumbs. Great, attractive menu with a good range of food. Look for the wee chef.

The Royal Oak
35 Duke St, HuntlyGreat place for a private party. All drinks are available, music is on site for you to use. Catering for a buffet can be arranged also. Choose an afternoon on a Saturday and the kids will get up dancing with the oldies. Mark and his staff are attentive and will sort everything for you on your day. We booked the Royal Oak and had a very enjoyable surprise birthday party with all ages in our group and firmly would advise speaking to Mark to book this great venue.

Asda Huntly Supermarket
Steven Rd, HuntlyAsdaCafe: Top tip for those who enjoy decaf. The staff asked the coffee machine engineer to add the option of hot milk, so the instant decaf option can become a bit more late like! Win at a bargain price.

Dean's of Huntly Ltd
Depot Rd, HuntlyVisited with my inlaws for a pre booked afternoon tea. The service was faultless even though they were really busy, Leanne was the person we saw most, but other staff spoke to us when she was busy and they were all fantastic, we really felt everyone cared.I'd pre informed them about an allergy, and they were totally on the ball avoiding using the food that causes the issue. The food was delicious, all the sweet treats, scones and pancakes were homemade, and there was a generous pot of whipped double cream with lovely wee jars of jam. The sticky toffee pudding cake was on another level of good, and there was a lovely selection of sandwiches. The coffee and tea was spot on, and we were all given a second cup at time that suited us, such a lovely touch. We picked up some delicious shortbread in the shop afterwards, a nice end to a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Elim's Kebab Shop
31 Duke St, HuntlyJust hungry tired on the way home stopped in for a munchy box and was totally surprised by the quality. Everything was perfect the chicken pakora was better and more authentic than the Indian sell!! The coleslaw was ace both sauces were really good the chilli sauce was really herby and Mediterranean. The donner meat was much better than average. Only thing I didnt like was the chicken nuggets and only room for improvement would be a pitta bread too. More food than two adults can eat for £14 is a shocker too. Will be back here for sure.
