The Merry Kettle Tea Shoppe
25 Duke St, HuntlyAfter a busy day in delightful Huntly, I was so ready for food and my first two choices ruled themselves out for perfectly valid reasons. I’m going to be back in the town a lot, so they won’t lose out on my opinion in future as I‘ve enjoyed meals there in the past. As I wandered sadly round the bonny Square, a helpful local ( who’d noted my search) pointed down a side street at a little statue of a chef, outside what turned out to be the most warm, welcoming and tasty experience for a hungry, by now ravenous, traveller. It was quiet, but from the chat between the young staff members and locals, I gathered that it had been very busy earlier… and I soon found out why. Being time-limited, I chose the fastest thing I could think of…a cheese dog. Knowing the normal size of such things, I ordered a side portion of chips. Didn’t need them as the dog turned out to be of Great Dane proportions. Oh thank you. And I managed the chips, of course. Delicious, filling and reasonably priced. Super-helpful staff, including the young man who rescued me when I couldn’t find the light-switch for the ladies’. This was a definite “find” and will draw me back with friends and family. One thing that really impresses was that each of the swiftly-cleared tables had a clear notice that it was ready for customers. Clever and considerate as I know of several times in other places when I’ve thought a table was clear, and ended up with my elbows in someone else’s tea spillings or crumbs. Great, attractive menu with a good range of food. Look for the wee chef.

The Market Cafe
The Ward, HuntlyLovely ladies working here and nothing was too much hassle.
Food is 10 out of 10, ideal for a bit of scran after a good walk up Bennachie before hand. Just what the fermer ordered ?. Good home cooked food just what you'd expect at a mart cafe. But the best was yet to come........
Omg the cheesecake...... took some home for a wee treat later and it tasted as good as it looked! Certainly did not disappoint.
You've a cracking wee team there with talents beyond a wee hot plate. Keep up the good work folks!

Sinclairs Of Rhynie Ltd
Old Rd, HuntlyBest butteries I have ever tasted. I normally get mine from the Spotty Bag shop when I visit family in Banff. I live in Perth but can never find a good butterie here. Is there anywhere near me that stocks your bakery items please?

The Royal Oak
35 Duke St, HuntlyGreat place for a private party. All drinks are available, music is on site for you to use. Catering for a buffet can be arranged also. Choose an afternoon on a Saturday and the kids will get up dancing with the oldies. Mark and his staff are attentive and will sort everything for you on your day. We booked the Royal Oak and had a very enjoyable surprise birthday party with all ages in our group and firmly would advise speaking to Mark to book this great venue.

Dean's of Huntly Ltd
Depot Rd, HuntlyLovely food. Worth the price, although some of the menu items were frozen, which is not what I would expect for the price. The burgers we had were wonderful, tasty and satisfying. Side salad was seasoned and dressed well. Overall, we all enjoyed our food
