The New Cafe Royale
54 Dalrymple St, GirvanI celebrated a big zero birthday recently at home with family & friends for which Michelle (owner) supplied an amazing buffet. The variety, quality & quantity were excellent. It was all organised at home for me so I didn’t even have to think about the food for everyone. Michelle laid it all out including my birthday cake which she had made & decorated with lovely fresh flowers. Everyone was so impressed with both the savoury & sweet selections. She also left the kitchen spotless when she left.I can highly recommend Michelle for this kind of occasion & her prices are very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again.

Ainslie Car Park, GirvanJust stopped after walking from Girvan. Great little takeaway. Braveheart burger was lovely. Def stop off if your passing. Not a long walk from Girvan on the sea path .

32 Glendoune St, GirvanJust had Lunch today 17th August 2024 on the reopening of the Restaurant with I believe a new Chef,
Wife and I both ordered the steak pie chips and mixed Veg.
I’m 69 and I’ve never had a better steak pie. It was fantastic and great value.
Staff were very friendly and all in all an experience to easily recommend.

23-25 Dalrymple St, GirvanWe travelled over 300 miles from Northumberland to meet an ‘online’ friend of 4 years, for the first time. Tartan. & Tweed were Recommended to us and we weren’t disappointed. We and our two dogs were made very welcome, not just a restaurant also an amazing gift shop. We enjoyed our first Christmas dinner of 2024 which was overwhelmingly delicious, plenty of succulent turkey and all the trimmings. What a pity it’s too far from home to be our regular haunt.

Wildings Hotel & Restaurant
Maidens Rd, Maidens, GirvanMy sons, brother and I stayed overnight at Wildings after a round of golf at Turnberry, just a five minute drive! The service was outstanding, in all aspects of our stay. Rooms were spotless, roomy and very comfortable. The Resturant/lounge was exactly what four golfers were looking for! The food was considered the very best of all the meals we had on our 8 day trip and the bar service was spot on! After our meal we enjoyed a couple of rounds of spades ♠️ and a pint or two without having to leave our table! We would definitely recommend the Wildings accommodations and dining to travelers, especially those on a golfing trip to Turnberry! Great Job Wildings, we will be back!
Rooms: Spotlessly clean, roomy and comfortable!
Food and drinks: The food was absolutely amazing! Our group rated the Wildings dinner as the very best of our entire 8 day trip!
Noteworthy details: The entire staff was most accommodating!

17 Bridge St, Ayrshire, GirvanFamily-run Gelateria with some of the best tasting gelato I’ve had anywhere. Their fruit flavours are especially fresh and made with real fruit, not syrup. Their banana gelato is the food of the gods.

Girvan Pizzeria
92 Dalrymple St, GirvanFirst of all id like to start by saying the mouth-feel was second to none ( might be my favourite ever ), the atmosphere was electric, and when my paralysed granny smelt a whiff of the margherita she actually stood up, ate the whole pizza and then collapsed with joy.
Sadly she ended up breaking her hip and is bed bound for the foreseeable future, prayers would be greatly appreciated

5 Dalrymple St, GirvanWe visit this sweetie shop every time we go to Girvan and it never disappoints! Lovely selection to choose from and great to see all the old fashioned jars. Love asking for a quarter of my chosen sweetie, just like the good old days! My son now loves this traditional shop as well, and the prices have remained reasonable so everyone can afford a wee treat with their pocket money - highly recommended!

Flynn's Boatyard
5 Bridge St, GirvanHad lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.

55 Knockcushan St, GirvanSorry for the feed back but wait time was too long customer's that cam in after me and ordered at counter were out of shop before me. Unfortunately food was not as good as previous times slice sausage had been cooked to quickly and did not enjoy the cheese burger. Staff are not talkative and no smiles. Sorry again but criticism is only way to improve.
