79 High St, ForresYesterday was the first time we had eaten in Cafe 1496, went back today for lunch again as we really enjoyed it. Staff were cheery and very helpful, cafe was clean and bustling, food on both occasions was fresh and tasty, prices were fine.
Vegetarian options: There were enough vegitarian options on the menu to go back to this cafe several times, food was excellent, tasty and fresh, all too often vegetarian options are bland.

69-71 High St, ForresA wonderful, traditional lunch house and tea house. Great, straightforward meals, really well prepared, with large selection of dishes and cakes. The staff were lovely, really nice. A place you will struggle to find elsewhere within its category for combining both charm and quality.

The Carisbrooke
The Carisbrooke, Drumduan Rd, ForresTurned up out of the blue after a long day travelling on 26th sept. Was greeted at the bar by a very friendly chap who we assume was the landlord. Room 2 was available for us and a table booked for us to join their curry night within a few minutes of our arrival.
The room was warm and spotlessly clean and had everything required for our stay.
Chicken bhuna was lovely and all the staff were very friendly including the landlady who was overseeing the evenings service.
Bed really comfortable and a nice powerful shower to wake us up in the morning.
Will definitely be back

Woodside Farm And Coffee Shop
Kinloss, ForresAlways amazing, I come with my young girls and they love it.
Brilliant to finish a cuppa tea and cake, or more while they play.
The staff are always amazing and chat, very helpful and friendly,
And for the prices, very very reasonable.

50 High St, ForresI was Terrified making this order as my last order was so offputing, To say the least I was surprised by the Increase of quality In the Chicken Pakora It wasn't just Chicken Painted Red like everywhere else in town, The Donner Meat was also surprisingly good. Although I'm still never ordering anything that I would normally have salad with just to be on the safe side. Takeaway Salad can't be trusted.

Field of Dreams, The Park, 404, Findhorn, ForresA relaxing, well presented and cosy B&B, in a beautiful location with very accommodating hosts. Marie is lovely and we loved her 'Spanish porridge'. It was a privilege to stay here with my auntie this summer - we will absolutely be back!

The Abbey Inn
Findhorn Rd, Kinloss, ForresHad to pop in to what used to be my local pub many years ago when I was in the Royal Air Force. My wife and I were on a 4 night break and made sure I could visit for a pint. It was great to meet Jodie and the team and have a couple of ciders and a chat to reminisce. Mathers Ice cream
Grant Park Kiosk, ForresOur girls really fancied an ice cream. so a wee search on Google and this was one of the first places that popped up. The ice cream was so delicious and the price was really reasonable as well if we are back up this way again we will definitely come back.

Hearth At The Old Mill Inn Brodie
7, Brodie, ForresDid not use the room. We had dinner at Hearth. Food was good. The restaurant was comfortably busy. Good atmosphere, good music and great vibes. However, I have one suggestion for the servers. Please don’t loose eye contact with the diners at any time you walk by. It is frustrating if a diner has to try hard to grab your attention. Anticipation is the key to customer service. Other than that, we had a good time and wish well for the owners.

Was up there through work and the first time I went in it was pretty quiet but I was soon included in the conversations and banter between Dave the barman and the locals who were in. Dave was very friendly and I enjoyed the banter with him and although I,ve moved away again we still keep in touch for a catch up.

Absolutely disgusting. Decided to do a Google search & this wee place popped up & thought we'd give it a try. Wasn't holding out much hope though...How wrong was I.! I ordered beef chow mean, stir fried with no sauce. My man had the chicken curry with fried rice & a portion of salt & pepper chips. Food was outstanding, very tasty & reasonable price too. Finally after searching for 2 years we have found our place. & we'll be back. Allan was lovely & friendly too.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available

The Captain's Table
Findhorn Boat Yard, ForresWe dined at the Chinese night in The Captain’s Table tonight and it was fantastic. The food was amazing and a brilliant selection on the menu. The staff are awesome and super friendly. We had our 4 month old puppy with us and he loved the fuss that the staff made of him. We also loved the fire, made the place lovely and cosy. Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We will absolutely be back soon! 100% recommend!

Fleurs Pl, ForresWent with my mum yesterday and I was really impressed. We had haddock fish & chips, onion rings, chicken fillet and curry sauce. We enjoyed the fish and chicken fillet with curry sauces. The fish was fresh, no bone and fried to perfection with the crunch of batter. The portion of chips and onion rings were very big. It was really good, excellent taste and not expensive. The staffs were really kind. Dining there made our day. Will be back again.

143 High St, ForresSpeedy pepper has always been one of my favourites but recently started coming more frequently and it's better than I remember, their food is so good every time and the atmosphere is amazing.Recently introduced my girlfriend to speedy pepper and she agrees that it's some of the best pizza and chips cheese and curry sauce like we got tonight and tonight's has been the best she's had.They definitely go above and beyond when it comes to both food and service I would highly recommend them.

149 High St, ForresGreat kebab shop in Forres - visited last night as my normal takeaway is closed. I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the lamb Donner was, not at all fatty and spiced really well. Portion sizes were generous and not one complaint with the whole meal.To be honest I really enjoyed my Kebab, Chips and Cheese and cost £20 for a meal for two, definitely will visit again.
