The Salty Bean
249 Marine Parade, Hunters Quay, Kirn, DunoonTried the chilli burger, was lovely ? my partner tried the Korean Kimchi burger and said it was okay, but needed more Kimchi, was a bit dry/bland. Got loaded fries with melted cheese and bacon. Would say that the fries would have been better, if they had a sauce over them, as they were quite dry. Maybe a tomato and mayo sauce and onions? Overall though, I would say it was a nice meal, but maybe add the extras I have mentioned to make it more enjoyable for all ?

Black Of Dunoon (Bakers)
148 Argyll St, DunoonI'm sure this used to trade under a different name , when many moons ago i used to visit with my mum on day trips" Doon the Watter". It had an old fashioned tearoom interiorNo matter, it has had a total remodernising refurb which thankfully has not changed the food quality or service. It still has amazing Sandwiches, pies, cakes and traybakes and lovely tea in teapots.Today we enjoyed, almond cake with hazelnut praline filling and iced fruit cake or as the locals call it "FliesCemetery "? Still marvellous and well worth a visit.

Queen St. Chip Shop
71 Queen St, DunoonWe were greeted by 3 lovely ladies, and our fish & chips order was taken and processed very quickly and efficiently. The fish was fresh, and the batter golden, crisp, and not too thick. The chips were well cooked, and overall the portion size was generous. We were each given one and a half fish, and plenty of chips. We were thanked for our order on departure. The price was a very competitive £8 per fish supper. We will definitely return on our next visit to Dunoon as this business is well run with good food at a competitive price.

Anselmo's Fish & Chips
36 Hillfoot St, DunoonPhoned order for collection small wait on arrival. Shop is a very old fashioned but clean. Excellent customer service. Food was hot and tasted good. Big portion size. Parking is a bit restricted near shop so be prepared to park elsewhere and walk if busy.Parking: Street parking is restricted.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access. Shop has a metal rail down middle for queue this would prevent a wheelchair accessing premises. I am sure though the staff would be more than happy to assist and take order from door.
