Jarnac Court, 15 Jarnac Court, DalkeithFood here was delicious. I got a flat white with a lovely bear pattern, chocolate milkshake for my daughter and a panini filled with chicken cheese and mayonnaise. Service was amazing, and very polite and lovely workers.I’ll be sure to come here again with my work mates and family.

Staff are very friendly and a lovely Atmosphere in the Restaurant I traveled all the way from Thurston Manor and it was well worth going I will be a regular customer from now on Thank you ?

124-128 High St, DalkeithMy family went here for dinner. A nice place to get your Italian cravings satisfied. Wait time was about 15-20minutes. Loved the ambience, the interiors of the restaurant and especially the restroom is simply breathtaking. And we enjoyed our meal. We have also ordered a delivery a while back and it came earlier than scheduled, delivered by a courteous fellow. I would especially recommend the half pounder burger, yummy!

28 Woodburn Ave, DalkeithOne of the best Chinese takeaways in Midlothian, we've never had a bad meal from here.Speedy delivery and delicious food. The sweet and sour lemon chicken is a taste of my childhood and one that I don't find very often and it's even rarer to find it done well!We are definitely regulars now.

Also, the staff seemingly elderly or young work in harmony, making it a nice place to relax. Beyond just food. Well done.

Was worried about Christmas dinner but josh said the sandwich selection is quite popular and defo filling enough for me, my 4 baby mamas and our collective 13 1/2 kids. The staff were great and allowed me to go in earlier and decorate the room and one of the girls was always on hand to check everything was okay.
The buffet was absolutely superb and plentiful, and the girls kept topping it up as it went down.
The staff were lovely and worked very hard to make sure the afternoon went so well.

I've bought takeaway here 6 - 8 times in the last few weeks and everytime's been great! Fantastic value, especially the special fish and absolutely the best chips in the area by far. I'd give 6 stars if I could. ??????

10 minute delay but received fish & chips that were on par with Bene's in Port Seton, if not better.
Huge fish that many would struggle to have eaten, which is what i love! They couldn't even close the box because there was that much fish & chips!
Plenty of parking space and beside a small Sainsbury's.

2-4 Eskbank Rd, DalkeithGood pub. Won’t be for everyone as the clientele is mainly older fellows, but it’s nice for a cosy drink when you’re in Dalkeith town centre. When the Justinlees was shut, me and my boyfriend and our dog visited (yep the pub is dog friendly, there was a lovely dog walking about off leash so if you aren’t into dogs I would avoid) - I’m not sure if it still operates as a hotel, on looking for bookings online it was closed. The women’s toilets are upstairs, and there’s no lift, so if you were disabled or older and not good with stairs you’d struggle here. I think they have men’s toilets upstairs and downstairs too. It would also be difficult to enter if disabled or in a wheelchair and only has a very narrow front entrance. Upstairs, there is a lot of lovely stained glass in the doors of the toilets. Only one cubicle in the women’s, can’t speak for the men’s however as I said, there is another men’s toilet downstairs. The flusher was a bit broken and it was a bit dark but the toilet was perfectly clean and serviceable.This isn’t a huge pub, but it is the sort of pub where everyone seems to know each other and gives the vibe of having many stories told in it, and many generations of families visiting over the years. It’s quite small in terms of seats, we ended up near the dartboard, but it’s very cosy.Don’t go here if you’re expecting your hipster filament bulbs and craft beers. I hate places like that so I was pleased to find the Harrow Hotel had none of that.As I said it’s in the town centre near Morrisons, bus stops, various shops and restaurants so you have plenty to do round here.The pub is often quite busy and noisy on weekend evenings, so I would arrive early to ensure you get a seat.Gives a very different vibe to my regular pub (Justinlees inn) but it’s an equal favourite. I must go again soon!One star removed because the bar stools/ stools at the tables near dartboard are sooo uncomfortable. Would be great to get some chairs with backs.Julia

A staff member named Umar found it and promptly reported it to the police. When I realized my wallet was missing and returned to the shop, the police were already there to collect it. Fortunately, I arrived in time to retrieve it myself. I offered Umar £50 as a reward for his honesty, but he declined, stating it was his duty. I was truly impressed by his professionalism. Shell Easthouses, you have earned a loyal customer. ?

Friendlies Chinese Food Takeaway
8 St Andrew St, DalkeithBest Chinese in Dalkeith in my opinion, never had a bad Chinese in all the visits I’ve made, food is always piping hot and full of flavour, Portion sizes are generous especially if getting chow Mein dishes or fried rice dishes as these are in larger round containers, The best curry’s and sweet n sour chicken and the salt n pepper dishes are delicious especially salt n pepper chicken balls with extra seasoning and veggies with a side of honey chilli sauce or peking sauce ????

Horseshoe Bar
14 St Andrew St, DalkeithNot been to the Horseshoe Bar for quite some time!! It's been refurbished since I was here, it's amazing how it's changed inside. Decor in what used to be the lounge is very modern, lovely fresh look about the place. Toilets too are all new, spotless clean and look well maintained. A lovely young lady served our family our food, and there was definitely no complaints as all of our food was excellent, presented well, and tasty to say the least!! Good choices on the menu!! I honestly can't fault the Horseshoe Bar, and I'm sure it won't be too long before I return. Definitely recommend.
