Dumfries Arms Hotel

Had an overnight stay as part of our Annual Bowls Tour. Friendly staff and hotel was clean & tidy.
The only downside was the price of the drinks. Well I am used to bowling club prices.

Had one of THE best special fish suppers every. Fish was lovely and crispy. The chips were really really tasty. Big portion at a very reasonable price. Would recommend and would go again when next in the area.

Garan Fish Bar

Great chip shop! We had a set meal A for £13. Great value for money and great food, fed all three of us, I would recommend and go back!2 small negatives is that its cash only, so you need to visit a cashline before hand and the other is that on this occasion the battered fish wasnt the best.

Empire Bar

The Empire Bar, situated on the corner of Glasgow Road and the A70 in Muirkirk, is a well run pub which caters for its community needs. Patrons are well received and enjoy a well stocked bar and reasonable prices.

Had a delicious gluten-free lunch platter from the Coffee Mill today. Excellent variety of sandwich fillings, along with other nibbles, and lovely gluten free tiffin traybake afterwards! Thank you so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Boswell's Coach House

First time visitor this afternoon and will be returning again soon. Lovely welcoming, warm atmosphere, the food and menu was amazing and reasonably priced and waiting staff were so lovely. Wee visit to the gift shop afterwards completed a fab wee afternoon for my friends and I. 10/10

Great service! To the point, swift and kindly professional to the bone. They know well what theyre doing and is an inspiration to be served by them They happily recommended that my drink offer can be replaced with any drink in their shop, not only coffee/tea as indicated and I think that's a magical thing to do ?The full scottish breakfast was de li ci ous best black pudding ive had ?Clean space and well kept, and nice strong coffee.Defo treat yourself there if around the area ?It "doesnt look like much" according to big city modern style standards..although it is ?️?????Parking: That was tricky. Worth the wee walk thoughKid-friendliness: I know my kids would had been warmly welcomed there and a safe space for littler ones tooWheelchair accessibility: Ample space and accomodation for wheel-chair users ?

Absolutely fantastic food, always cooked fresh when ordered, large haddock is great also salt & chilli chicken, chips fantastic as well as curry sauce. Staff are so friendly and always helpful. Keep up the great work

Always a good visit, clean good food according to my mum best cup of coffee out of anywhere we've ever been. Plus Is having a disabled toilet as mum is in a wheelchair.

New Afton Spicy Hut

Ordered a curry made with lamb friday 4th Jan. The meat is always soft and tender and melts in the mouth.This time however the lamb was chewy, hard and with bits of gristle running through it.It was like they had changed supplier, it tasted cheap.I will try again sometime in the near future and if still the same quality is present then I will cease to use the takeaway for good.

Went for the first time few days ago for a latte staff so friendly we reserved a table for today with our dog Cooper we had a fantastic breakfast and Cooper was spoilt with treats and sausage for breakfast this is now our Sunday morning treat can't fault anything

Could be the best meal out I’ve had this year, absolutely spot on. Definitely be makin a few return visits.
One thing tho, please find a way to add gratuity to the bill when it comes time to pay as the service was brilliant ?

Had Halloumi fries and club sandwiches ? a wee note to say about the service the waitars are young bless them, they are trying their best but they are a bit confused one of the boys looks at us but didn't

We moved here 4yrs ago and it's the best place to eat in Cumnock. Jackie the girl who takes the orders over the phone is always polite and pleasant. A good take away run by a very nice family man who takes time with his customers. Thank you for feeding us or we would have gone hungry.

I took my other half here on Tuesday 15th for his birthday dinner. I have to say the service was amazing, however a bit slower paced to bring food out. But that is not a complaint, we weren't rushed or anything. The service we got from the staff was just amazing they were all lovely. The food which to my surprise was really tasty, I would highly recommend going here. I didn't know what to expect as it was our first time, so we would come back again, portions of food were really big which was good and it overall the whole experience and atmosphere was just amazing

I'm glad to say when I returned to this takeaway tonight my experience confirmed that my previous visit was just a miscommunication :)Good food and this time absolutely spot on thanks ? will definitely be a semi regular customer from now on ?

We had a king donner & large naan with salad/sauce between two of us. The meat was delicious and fresh (no hard bits at the edges), and the naan was superb. We just walked in the shop to order, but we waited 45mins for our food. They seemed busy with "just eat' orders etc so 'walk-ins' appeared to be in a kinda virtual queue, even tho the shop seemed quiet! It would be better if someone else done the online orders, whilst another served the actual customers in shop? Again, the food was excellent, just the service let it down. In saying that, we'd maybe phone our next order & collect ourselves, but would definitely go back.

If you are looking for a tasty Chinese takeaway look no further! We use Happy Garden every time we have Chinese food and think it is top class! The food is always ready on time, very tasty and suits us perfectly. We have tried all the Chinese takeaway in the area and this is our favourite - highly recommended

We had a lovely family* meal with starters and main courses. The owner and his wife were very friendly and the food was delicious- all of the plates went back to the kitchen clean- no need to ask for doggie bags! The service was quick and very friendly. The naans were so fresh!And we enjoyed the amazing selection of desserts from the adjacent ice-cream parlour which the owner owns too. Very reasonable prices compared with the prices in Glasgow we’re used to. An excellent, fun experience. We hope to go back! Thank you!(*our party =3 adults and 3 children)

The food we have had from here is always amazing! My hubby gets a big, fat calzone (mixed meat) and it's packed full! The kids and I like to share the set meal for 2 (curries, rice, pakora) and the curries are genuinely some of the best we've ever had! The guys are dead nice as well. Highly recommended!
