La Truffe Noire
Alma Rd, Brodick, Isle of ArranOn the recommendation of a friend we went to Truffe Noir and had to search first. Well hidden, but it was worth looking for.
We were the only guests because that evening was the European Championship final between England and Spain. Instead of canceling us, the restaurant was open solely because of our reservation and the team was incredibly motivated and friendly.
The food was simply great in terms of quality, presentation and sophistication!
Absolutely top level.
Only the ambience could be a little more inviting, it just doesn't really match the high level of food, but it's better that way than the other way around.
Definitely not our last visit.

Brambles Seafood + Grill
Auchrannie Rd, BrodickWe have just returned from a 3 night stay in a 3 bedroom lodge. Our party consisted of 3 couples. Our lodge was lovely and modern, very spacious and very well equipped. The staff in the hotel were all extremely friendly especially at reception. We ate in the Cruize restaurant one night and the food was delicious. I would definitely return for another stay at Auchrannie resort.

Shanghai Chinese Takeaway
Kames Corner, Brodick, Isle of ArranI’ll be honest, some of the reviews nearly put me off but this is the only Chinese on the island and we wanted to try it.
I wasn’t expecting much but it was the best Chinese I’ve had in a long time - and I eat a lot of Chinese.
We had chicken and sweetcorn soup, Kung po chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein and salt and pepper mini spring rolls and egg fried rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. First time I’ve finished off a Kung Po in ages. Many Chinese takeaways just add chilli to their sweet and sour and call in Kung Po but this was the real deal. 5/5 and we will definitely use again.
