Been back again recently for evening meal. Seafood platter and the pork & cider stew were first class. Great atmosphere for mixing with locals and visitors. Could do with Guinness on draft though ?

The Cabin, Melvich By, ThursoLovely little take away. Just when we needed refreshment, there it was. Bought something to eat (hot) toasties and a drink, then went back for some ice cream. Lovely ladies inside serving.

Clachan Cafe
Clachan Cafe, Bettyhill, ThursoStopped on route to John O Groats, had the halloumi burger and the steak burger. Staff were friendly and accommodated an unusual dietary request, the food was lush - especially the fries and the sticky ginger loaf. Was lovely to sit outside in the sun too!

Bettyhill Tourist Information & Cafe
A836, Bettyhill, ThursoGreat location and friendly staff. Excellent meals and a good variety on the menu. A great place for a walk with views of a pretty beach. Staff assisted us in getting our bags to our room up the stairs. Only drawback was luggage table would have been good.
