Fife Lodge Hotel

We came in today for the Mother's Day Carvery. The organisation was superb, the staff attentive, friendly and smiling and the food was outstanding. We will be back again for another Carvery for sure! Well done and thank you to all the staff for such a lovely experience.

Portsoy Ice Cream

Went here on Saturday with the plan to have an ice-cream. Big selection of flavours. Saw the waffle option and immediately went for that. No regrets, it was delicious, I chose the hot biscoff sauce and it was a heavenly combination. Will be detouring just to go there again. The girl who served us was brilliant, friendly, helpful and smiley. Only downside was having to narrow my choice down as she kept giving us more brilliant options!

Market Arms

This place is amazing...very old beautiful building..food freshly made..absolutely delicious..staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area...there is a step into the bar area..but around the side entrance is wheelchair access...I couldn't make it to the upstairs dining room, so stayed in the bar area, which was delightful..if you visit Banff..very well worth a visit..

Parking: We parked opposite the building (blue bade holders free) but there are several options nearby..

Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access around the side of the building...the staff are very friendly and helpful with mobility issues

The Shore Inn

Really nice to see a freindly old-fashioned pub still open these days. Most of them are trying to be wetherspoons or look like a dentists waiting room but this place still looks like a pub is ment to look. Staff are great it's always full of families feels like a big living room. The boat building workshop next door has a glass front too so you can see all the progress of boats being built.

Seafield Arms

Truly superb quality food and a good quantity. It's not the cheapest place but it's excellent value when you consider the quality. Lovely staff and caring owner. We eat here most days on our holidays in the area. The Black Angus steaks are especially recommended. Wish that we had somewhere like this where we live in the Peak District.

The Banff Deli

I recently visited the banff deli and had an amazing experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The selection was impressive, featuring everything from quiche to delicious cake. I decided to try their delicious chocolate cake and words cannot describe the sensations that were running through my mouth.

The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making me feel welcome. I also appreciated the cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a treat or two. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by the banff deli for a delicious treat. You won't be disappointed!

Indian Garden Restaurant and Takeaway

Thirteen of us celebrated my Brother's birthday tenth of February. We all enjoyed our meal ..my Chicken Balti was especially good. Well done Indian Garden, prompt, friendly professional service.

Freddies Chip Shop

We were on a trip around the coast and found Freddie's online. Great chippy, nice and clean, locals all popping in. Friendly staff, extensive menu but food was great, chips lovely and not oily, massive portions, 50p ketchup portions were also generous. We sat and ate our chips at the harbour along the road, perfect, just looking at the sea with a chippy.

Happy Palace

Really good menu, huge choice and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. We had 4 different dishes and all were excellent. Thoroughly recommended

Really beautiful, well stocked, fresh bakery. Most importantly, really reasonably priced. The young lad serving was very pleasant, professional and made a lovely cup of coffee. I would very highly recommend anyone to pop in here when in Banff.

The Boyndie Visitor Centre (Boyndie Trust)

Very nice place friendly staff good food and has a nice selection of plants for sale. Although it was busy when we were there there was only a very short time till we were served. Finding the abandoned ww2 airfield was a little tricky. There are some signs but getting to the control tower was difficult without using the satellite view on Google maps. All in all a good place to eat and then explore.

The Railway Inn

A rather inconspicuous pub near the marina. But once inside, you immediately like the simple but cozy, quiet atmosphere. There are usually a few locals sitting inside. The landlord is a music fan (especially Rammstein!)... And the selection of whiskeys is simply amazing!There's nothing to eat, but that doesn't detract from the positive result.You definitely have to go in here (unless you have to drive afterwards...)

Castle Bar

Brilliant pub fantastic atmosphere. Staff were really friendly. The locals were welcoming and friendly. Lovely pictures and memorabilia up in the walls all around the pub. Couldn't believe how cheap it was in here for the drinks, and it has my favourite drink, Tennants. Will definitely be back

Rex’s Kitchen

The bbq ribs and salt and pepper ribs were exceptionally good. Loved the prawn with tomatoes and the prawn fried rice was also v tasty! Noodles a bit short on beansprouts was the only negative. Ordered ahead and ready to collect on time.

Harbucks Cafe

Just glorious.
Really tasty sweet treats (we had a brownie, gingerbread and the biscoff fudge, which I want to eat daily).
Everything changes weekly because it is a different team running the show.
Seating outside by the harbour is really lovely.
Dog friendly.
Just a brilliant, brilliant enterprise.

Cherry Tree Cafe and Bistro

Popped in this morning after dropping car at garage,breakfast bagel and coffee were absolutely lovely! If you’ve not tried here before give it a go! Reasonably priced as well! Definitely be back

Pyramids Takeaway

The food is exquisite and the service is impeccable. Idi and Evita are wonderful people who serve with a beautiful smile and go beyond to make customers happy.

I spoke to Idi about felafel and he made felafel wrap for me. He was very kind and made a special pizza for me and my wife.

Highly recommended for fantastic food and loveliest people.

Station Hotel, Portsoy

Nice place. Slightly old fashioned. Clean, good service, good food. Easy to find, ample free parking on street. Close to lovely wee harbour, and lots of golf courses.

Home Bakery

Situated on Banff High Street, this is a small shop, however it has a fantastic range of breads, pastries, cakes and assorted patisserie. It is easily within walking distance of St Marys car park and bus stops are situated close to the shop whether entering Banff from the east or west. The shop staff are friendly, efficient and always willing to help with any queries. I would throughly recommend a visit to sample this bakers fare.

Garden Arms Hotel

Beer was fresh, food was great, staff were wonderful.
But that dog would not give up its seat. I tried treats, bacon, a bit of roadkill I had in my pocket. But no. Refused to move. Even the tennis ball trick didn't work.

Real Tandoori

I really enjoyed my meal. It was 'Spot On'. Delivery was fast, and the driver was, very polite.I will definitely recommend the, Real Tandoori to, my friends and family.

LightHouse Fish Bar, Pizza and Kebab house

Good food and prepared to order. The only reason I deducted a star is its cash only, and I don't carry cash. However, there is a cash machine right outside.

Crown Chippy

I travel from Birmingham every week and we both think the food is absolutely incredible. Fresh and hot fish. Cannot recommend this chippy enough. And the price, well I would definitely pay double what I paid for our food. Absolutely amazing, we will be returning. The lady who serves us was lovely and it really makes a difference.

Bridgeview Restaurant

I always love a trip to Bridgeview. I usually drop past for lunch but today it was a coffee and cake visit and it was so enjoyable. The panoramic views from the restaurant are lovely. Today was a beautiful day and that made it more magical to look out to the beach. The staff are ALWAYS super friendly and personable. Always a happy customer. The restaurant can get very busy and there may be a wait but the buzzer system works well if you aren’t in a rush. Not a criticism just a consideration if you are a first time visitor.
