Popped into KJs for a lunchtime snack during a holiday drive. Both the pork and beef sausage rolls were super tasty (veggie options too)l! The sandwiches, soup and cakes also looked ace. If we were staying locally would be no.1 choice for bread and for hill walking packed lunch!
If you walk down through the woods from the Snug, over the river and a wee bit further, you will find KJ's Bothy Bakery (you can always drive as well, loads of parking) - run by the amazing Kirsten, previously of the Mountain Cafe Aviemore. We are in the bread club and what a joy it is. I used to make bread and cakes but have become disabled so can't stand up to do so anymore, I had thought beautiful bread was a thing of the past. Tonight I have had the best sandwich ever, roast chicken and mayonnaise in cranberry, nut and honey bread, accompanied by a nice glass of Chardonnay what could be better? Thank you very much.
