Fyrish Tandoor
79 High St, AlnessWent to the Fyrish Tandoori with almost my entire family about an 1hr and half before closing time. They could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The food was beautiful. Everyone was happy, even my 81yr old nan with dementia was singing its praises, and she is one of the least easily impressed people on the planet. I had one of the nicest pasandas I've had in 30years. I took every scrap I could home and I've just finished polishing it off.Thank you, Fyrish Tandoori, for such a wonderful experience!5 Stars - no question

Cafe Picante
54 High St, AlnessBest kebabs I've had round here, and I've tried lots! The chicken kebab is amazing, butterflied, marinated slabs of chicken breast, big blob of creamy coleslaw, small side salad, pots of chilli and garlic sauces and fresh made pitta. I'd never had a fresh made pitta with a high street kebab before and now I don't think I can go back to the cardboardy sog of a standard packet pitta. The doner is browned nicely, cut thin and comes with fresh pitta, sauces and a side salad. Both delicious. Had takeaway, can't really judge atmosphere, so gave 3 stars for that. Staff super friendly, polite and food was ready quickly.

Harry Gow Bakery - Alness
47 High St, Ross-ShireI’d ordered a birthday cake online and couldn’t vision what the end result would look like as there was no photos to show what the extras looked like. So i went to the local Harry Gow Baker and asked for some advice on the celebration cakes the ladies there explained what the end result would look like which the website couldn’t do. I picked up the cake today and it looks fabulous.

Morrisons Cafe
Dalmore Rd, AlnessWhat a difference to our recent experience s at both Morrison cafes at Boroughbridge and Perth. We arrived for breakfast to break our journey south. The staff were happy and more than obliging. The breakfasts were excellent and hot and served super quickly. This the best Morrison breakfast experienced recently. Thank you.

Morrisons
Dalmore Rd, AlnessI like to shop at Morrison's they stock more of the brand's that I like for instance I like to make tea in the traditional way using loose tea. I dislike tea from teabags some local stores don't sell loose tea now. Also we had shopped at Morrison's for a long time now, and I see no reason to change.
