9 Coalgate, AlloaOur table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived but the people at it were just paying their bill so we didn’t wait long. Menus arrived promptly and we ordered drinks whilst we chose. The food was excellent. The smoked haddock risotto in particular was superb and my spaghetti picante simple and delicious, just how I like it. The specials were good too. Our friends from out of the area were very impressed. The only down side was one of them was disappointed there was no tablet whatsoever in the caramel sundae, only sauce. Service was good and we weren’t rushed. Been before and definitely will be back.

7 Bedford Pl, AlloaHad a wonderful meal here. Food was excellent. Best meal out I've had for a long time. Also a good choice of vegetarian meals for my husband which makes a nice change as its usually only a veggie burger for him but there were 4 or 5 different veggie options which all sounded nice. Staff were very friendly too. Prices were fair too. Will definitely be back. I would definitely recommend the Royal oak.

101 Whins Rd, AlloaUsed this place twicw since the owners have changed. Must say the Asian person in the front is champ to speak to and the food was amazing. I got myself a donner Calzone (I'm very picky about the taste and how it's made) it was perfect. My wife got the tikka masala with boiled rise and she loved it as well so we will definitely be back for sure. 10/10 for service aswel we were in the car and the champ brought it out to us.

59 Mill St, AlloaReally goid food . They serve lovely soup and if your renal they do chicken and rice which your allowed . The portions are huge so yoi'll have to say and get a smaller portion . I was super happy whern i had lunch in there. I'd go back again.

Fishcross, AlloaI was going to give this place a 5-star rating but will explain why not further down.\n\nWe turned up without a reservation for Sunday lunch, but this wasn't a problem as the place was deserted! However, within 15 minutes there were 5 or 6 tables occupied so the atmosphere picked up.\n\nMy wife ordered the leek/feta/butterbean pie from the specials board and I had the steak & ale pie from the main menu. Both came with chips and mine had a selection of sautéed vegetables and we had drinks of sparkling water and a pint of lager. We both agreed that our pies were excellent and the overall cost was just under £40.\n\nSo, the reasons why this didn't get a top star rating are as follows:-\n\n1) A pub near to us does a similar menu but we could have had two courses and drinks for the same price.\n2) I originally ordered the half-roast chicken but the waitress came back to say it wasn't available. Not really an issue as there was plenty of choice, but the kitchen staff should tell the waiting staff before service starts so that they can inform guests without having to shuttle back & forth.\n3) Even though we turned up 20 minutes after opening, the Specials board wasn't ready so we had to wait for that to be posted.\n4) Staff may ask during your meal if everything is okay with the food, but we were asked 3 times by 3 different members of staff. Not only is this intrusive but it gave the impression they were looking for something to do.\n5) The gents toilets were clean & fresh, but the hand dryer was next to useless and I ended up using my napkin to complete the drying process.\n6) Finally, the table were sat at was sticky. It was clean but the way it had been cleaned left it sticky to touch and was a bit off-putting.\n\nThat been said, the staff were friendly, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was good as the music was at a level where you could hear it but it didn't intrude.

WTF??!!! I thought what the hell is that. Has something got into the bag? I thought I could see a little pair of eyes peering out at me. I leaned forward, picked up the bag, put it on the floor baseball bat in one hand and there it was again, more rustling and little eyes looking out behind the prawn crackers, I thought its got to be a rat or a mouse or something, so I carefully pulled the bag down ... And there it was ... ... A Peeking Duck!!!

Recently tried the South Indian garlic chilli donner meat and then south Indian chicken on a pizza and the taste was insane, highly recommend. Decor makes you feel like you’re on holiday and not just in Alloa. \n\nI have a dairy intolerance and the eggs came out scrambled but when I explained to the woman I couldn’t have the milk in them she came out with two perfectly poached eggs to die for. Free of charge!

They went above and beyond their job description to help us and we so appreciated them. They deserve a raise. The sandwiches were extremely tasty too.

3 High St, AlloaI've been a frequent customer of this bakery and almost every time, the food is top quality. Everything is always good tasting and well-cooked. Their steak pies are very good, and their tuna rolls are nice, but they could lay off the mayonnaise a bit, as it tends to saturate the roll, making it a bit too watery. The vegetables add to the moisture, which makes the roll too wet overall.It would be nice if they could relook at their Scotch pies, perhaps by using a more palatable meat or adding more meat into them. Ideally, the meat could be minced but not too loose, lightly compacted together, and filling the entire pie. I remember one time when I ordered a Scotch pie, and it was of medium thickness with most of it being just pastry. A more substantial and evenly filled pie would be much appreciated.On the sweet side, their yum-yums are amazing, and the truffles are astronomical. Their morning rolls and barn rolls are out of this world.The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The shop itself is very inviting, with nice decor and a good selection of products. Overall, a fantastic place for quality food and a pleasant experience!

82 Mill St, AlloaRecently arrived in the area and advised it was best in Alloa. Ordered fish on its own and got 2 fillets which were perfect and crispy, week later ordered battered haggis. Perfect again, week later ordered single fish. U sure of quality as I unwrapped it a seagull decided it was a toilet :). Used 3 times and great every time. Always busy so that’s a good thing. Recommended

Vegetarian options: The veggie burger is really not that big. It was a bit disappointing although it did taste really nice.

The service was phenomenal. it's a shame I did not get the young man's man who served us. He has a beard, and probably 5.6 tall, about 4.30 today. I had trouble with my card, and he sorted it out, a real legend.

Staff have been long standing members for a while and the quality of food and service makes the old furnishings and wall decor fade away.If you're looking for that mystical 'pub lunch' that fills your belly with gloriously cared for food. This place does that and I'm very thankful for it. They had Inch's cider on draft which is perfect for me and made my partner a healthy pint of orange and lemonade.Staff all genuinely love the food too and nice can see why, its classic food items done well which shouldn't be as rare as it is.I find it tough getting proper good grub from pubs at times but this place did not disappoint. Pricing was very reasonable, I've paid more for significantly less quality food before and I've kept the recipe to remind myself that truly good food need not be attached to a ludicrous price tag.Well done everyone who makes The Mansfeild Arm's operate day to to, you all should be proud.Kid-friendliness: As long as they aren't after a pint, kids were welcomed to sit and eat with their families while I was in.

Tullibody Rd, AlloaWe were here for my daughter in law to be’s hen weekend.. we had a lodge and it was the best weekend ever. The staff in the hotel go above and beyond and every part of our weekend was special. I ll defo be returning for a night away. Ur all amazing !!
