Charlestown Rd, AboyneJust returned from a fantastic overnight stay at this little gem. I was lucky enough to win the dinner bed and breakfast competition and honestly everything was first class. The room was lovely, so nicely decorated and clean. We then had dinner which was absolutely delicious! I was so excited to try the food as had seen pictures on social media which looked amazing but it was even better in person! Portions were very generous and the food was very well presented. Each member of staff we met were really friendly and the place had such a nice warm atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious too! Thank you so much, I will definitely be back again!

Tarland, AboyneA real gem of a country house hotel on the edge of the Cairngorms, excellent on all counts, delightful gardens both ornamental and horticultural, gourmet dinners and breakfasts, even optional box lunches to take in the hike. Well stocked bar and knowledgeable staff. Health club too. Opportunities for country walks or runs.

1 Ballater Rd, AboyneWe visited this lovely homely restaurant in Aboyne, Royal Deeside. We had a very nice time with our group. The food served was delicious and the chocolate roulette was one of the best desserts I have tried in Scotland. Highly recommended.

Deeside Activity Park
A93, Dess, AboyneMy three boys had a great time at the go-karts. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but the boys absolutely loved it. You can't put a price on happy memories. A full hour, as many laps as you can do. Training from the staff was firm and fair. These go-karts are not toys and need to be respected. Each outing you can see the boys got faster and faster. We got good mobile phone footage that the boys love watching. I'd highly recommend the go-karting.
The next day I got to spend a number of hours on their Loch fishing. I was given good training/instructions on how to fly fish, ,not fished since I was a boy. I didn't catch anything despite the water obviously teeming with fish. I really enjoyed my time there. Again, I'd highly recommend.

Loch Kinord Hotel & Restaurant
Ballater Rd, Dinnet, AboyneGood location with nice walk behind and in front of the hotel. Also nice cabins on site. Staff were friendly and helpful. And the food was good too

1 Ballater Rd, AboyneMy friend and I dined during our stay in Aboyne not knowing about the Sunday buffet. The chef prepared 2 special gluten free starters for us and we enjoyed the items on the buffet. Everything was amazingly delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a delicious meal with amazing hospitality!

The Lodge on the Loch
Aboyne Loch Golf Centre, AboyneWhat a great location with the friendly hospitality you will only find with Derek and Jean -- the owners and creators of this very special place. I recommend this hotel establishment highly. Peace and tranquility on a swan lake with a surrounding walking path and a 9-hole golf course make this an exquisite retreat for all.

Aberdeen Arms Hotel
31 The Square, Tarland, AboyneStopped off for a couple of drinks after a long walk and I'm pleased to say that the couple that appeared to be running things couldn't be nicer. Very helpful and full of local knowledge.
