Uppingham, OakhamLovely unusual cafe. Exceptionally good quality, and inexpensive. They don’t even mind if you bring your own as long as you buy their lovely drinks and maybe their delicious cakes.
My cousin and her husband who were visiting from Australia were so impressed by the friendliness and wonderful atmosphere. Not posh, but really comfy. I am looking forward to my next visit.

The Kings Arms
13 Top St, Wing, OakhamWe were a party of 4, we had 2 rooms. The Bakery, which was a very nice room, large with a tv area and nice sized shower room. The Granary, is an upstairs room. Nice enough size but the bed was very firm, too firm. The restaurant was very comfortable with space between the tables and a very nice menu. Everything is sourced locally, which is a great thing. We had four mains, all very well liked. Nice wine list and some good ales too.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a good choice too.

High St E, Uppingham, OakhamThe restaurant is lovely inside. A sort of modern/traditional mix. There is a long bar with bar stools where you can sit and have drinks and tapas if wanted. the service was excellent and the food very good - special enough to be a treat without being a pretentious cube and a smear !! we had a couple of tapas to share to start and the leeks in tempura batter were delicious. The olives were amazing. My starter of battered squid and main of slow roast beef were both very good. Everyone enjoyed their food. Well presented but a decent helping.

5 Market Pl, Uppingham, OakhamVery nice Chinese takeaway. Not your traditional chippy. Small counter in the corner where food is brought out, no fries or warming cabinets. Food was excellent. Easily missed from the outside. Doesn't look like a take away and tucked right in the corner of the square.

The Orchard Café, Glaston Rd, Uppingham, OakhamWonderful food and service, very impressive for a garden centre. good selection of hit and cold items we went for the Sunday roast, we prebooked, and got a free cauliflower cheese for the table, which was a lovely extra. Also, there are lots of cakes and puddings, proper coffees and teas. Really lovely service as well
Vegetarian options: variety of veggies options and a vegan one
Dietary restrictions: they do have a variety if milks and a I believe some gluten free options
Parking: parking at the garden centre was free and ample the day we went, but it's not the largest of spaces

4 Market Pl, Uppingham, OakhamOur third pub of the day and quick service in a nice clean pub, friendly atmosphere and sat outside, a nice pint of 'PEDIGREE', good people and had a chat with the 2 men on the next table who told us how to get yo a pub of the main road, a good pub.

Red India - Uppingham
2 Stockerston Rd, Uppingham, OakhamWow my first visit. Food was excellent can't wait till my family member moves to Uppingham in the next few weeks. We had a 17 month old child with us who loved the food. So looking forward to my next visit to try more of their excellent food. Waiting staff could not do more. They do need to acquire a high chair if I was to find any fault however it did not detract from a lovely time.

4a Ayston Rd, Uppingham, OakhamWow what a difference to what I get in Northampton. On holiday and just eat tandoori mixed grill and it was amazing and so was the rest of my order. Hannans 10 out of 10 well done.
