Restaurants in Stretton

The Wheatsheaf
1 Stretton Rd, Greetham, OakhamMe and my boyfriend went in on a whim because we got turned away at another pub and we were so glad they had a table for us. The weather was lovely, so we sat outside and had a few pints and one of their open sandwiches.
Both the ladies behind the bar and the gentleman that came out to serve us were lovely and made us feel very accommodating.
Will definitely return in the future

Jackson Stops Inn
Rookery Ln, Stretton, OakhamA wonderful little village pub with an authentic cosy atmosphere. The old entrance porch is no longer used, so access is now straight into the tiny bar area, complete with Nurdling game area.
There are separate large dining areas. The food is fantastic, although it has lost its Michelin stars over the last couple of years.
Staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is fast and professional.
If you're looking for a cosy, traditional village pub with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere and a few quirks, give this one a try.

The Woodhouse Arms
2 Bourne Rd, Corby Glen, GranthamA lovely place, we stopped for 2 nights with a breakfast included each morning. Free on-site parking, room was spacious and bed was comfy. This was replenished daily).

Food and drinks: Breakfast was included with price. Options galore. Choose on check-in for following morning and then we chose at breakfast for the next day, a checklist is left on table and you can tick what you do or don’t want)
Fruit juice options. Hot drinks. Toast, Granola and yoghurt, fruit, cooked breakfast with choice of eggs. Smoked Salmon.
Absolutely delicious and service was excellent.
Highly recommended.

The White Lion
31 High St, Colsterworth, GranthamWe pre-booked here for a party of 20 for a family birthday. As we were a large group we pre-ordered our meals and they were ready within about 10 mins of our arrival. The waiting staff were lovely and very efficient. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we had plenty of space to move about to chat, and for the 5 children to move freely about.
Only downside: the parking spaces are limited, but there was room on the street nearby, so a major problem if you don't have small kids to manoeuvre
Definitely recommended

The Castle Inn And Pantry
11 High St, Castle Bytham, GranthamIn unfortunate circumstances when our car broke down 160 miles away from home on a Sunday evening, we found ourselves at the friendliest place we could have possibly wished for! We were looked after with generous hospitality and genuine care and are very grateful to the caring landlady, staff and guests we met. Food we were offered (even though the kitchen was closed) was delicious! We highly recommend and hope to visit this charming place again.

The Plough
23 Main St, Greetham, OakhamThis is a smashing pub. Excellent service, menu and atmosphere. Good with allergies. The best bit is their love and care for dogs. Even had baskets for them and a doggie menu! Lovely locals, extremely welcoming. Can get very busy with people and dogs!

A1 Stadium Diner
A151, Colsterworth, GranthamThe new diner has remained the same as the old one in all, thankfully. One bad thing.. they have got rid of the quality table sauces and replaced them with the cheap stuff. Please dont cut corners A1 your known as the best uk breakfast for a reason.

Mill House
Milford Drive, StrettonFrom walking through the door we were catered to brilliantly. Lovely staff members that seemed genuinely interested in ensuring our experience was the best it possibly could be.
Extra requests made by the children when food was served were accommodated in a kind manner and with no complaint made.
Food was lovely, and the restaurant area was clean.
Couldn’t do enough for us and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
