Prompt service, friendly and helpful staff, good sized meal<br>portions served on hot plates(Well done!). Cod and chips was very nice and tasty, crisp batter and just enough mushy peas. The grilled plaice someone else ordered also looked very nice and got a good review. Good range of drinks available.
Very disappointed with this experience. The dose of the mussels marinière was ridiculous (19 pounds all the same). It’s a shame they were pretty good. The desserts were very average, industrial. Too bad for a so-called institution.
Always delicious food. Standard fish and chips done very well. This time tried the grilled garlic king prawns and the fish pie -- both vert tasty! Three courses with glass of wine was £40.
