The Anchor

We went to The Anchor for a celebration it was the best! It was our second visit there and the food did not disappoint it was the most incredible food we’ve ever had! The french onion soup was a favourite and the sea bream! The service is excellent, the staff are so knowledgeable. We hope to return again soon and would highly recommend.

Midweek lunch was excellent. One of us had the set menu, the other a la carte. The food allergy was handled very well. The pasta starter was tasty and interesting. My French onion soup was lukewarm but soon remedied. The mains, quail and partridge were well presented and had some good flavours. Mine was a little tough. Michelin star level cooking at pocket-friendly prices. The set lunch deal with (quite a few) drinks came to just over £100 for two. Best value in the area. Well worth the trip if not.
