A warm welcome awaits you at this lovely, friendly pub. Maria is lovely, we took our dogs in and she fetched water and a little bit of meat from the Sunday roast for them, this was our first visit. We are new to the area and were made to feel right at home. Thanks to all staff and customers at Pick and Shovel.

One of the best places tobe, all down to the bar service and the very warm welcome they give, always very friendly and the place is always looking great. I recommend this place to anyone who likes a nice pint, likes a good game of pool or darts or likes to chill out and reflect. 5 stars all the way.

Such a lovely, friendly team and the ambience is perfect. The place caters for everyone and has activities such as darts and pool and games and toys for children. It is a perfect place to watch the sports events with a big projector screen, and other televisions to make it comfortable and easy viewing for customers wherever you may be sat. They offer a fantastic menu to eat and Sunday dinners are delicious here. Thanks for always making us so welcome we love coming here as a family.
