I’m a Benji’s regular. This is the first time I’ve visited since it reopened as a “Parisian cafe”. The menu is great, food lovely. The atmosphere is a not great. The music blaring out is awful - not at all French. It really detracts and makes you not want to sit and linger.
An enjoyable lunch to bring relief from the shopping! The soup and hot food were tasty and all piping hot! Very friendly service.The basement has a wonderful cheese and deli counter, we bought lots there afterwards.
Attended Jarrolds customer evening, ate in Benji’s restaurant. Massively impressed with the quality of food and energy of the restaurant team working under challenging conditions. I will certainly take the opportunity to eat in Benji’s next time we visit Jarrolds based on my experience tonight.
