Admirals Fish and Chips

Cod and chips were really tasty. Not greasy. Freshly cooked. Great portions . Also ordered mushy peas. Haven’t had a good fish and chips meal for ages and so glad we came here. Definitely will be coming back. And the staff were so nice , friendly and happy ?

Let's be honest this Chip shop has changed hands a few times over the last couple of years, I visit my parents from the US a few times per year and love this square but first choice is J's, but road was closed off so came on to the square. Firstly the staff was very friendly although some of the accent was a little hard to understand but prices were good. Such a shame that the management does not understand the basic function of Managing customer orders for freshly cooked food to basic walk-in orders for just chips.<br>To go there for a portion of chips and to wait over 20 minutes because they were prioritising Freshly prepared orders That require time to cook, Without the foresight of their staple Dish freshly cooked or chips.<br><br>To be told that they can’t cook them quicker enough simply is not an excuse...read full review
