The New Inn

Thought we'd road test the new chef and menu last weekend. My wife's hake was beautiful, our son thought it was his birthday, with the size of the piece of gammon he was presented with. The burger, the best I've had in a long time. Great local beef, nice bacon and fantastic burger sauce. Everything home made with nice little touches.

I’ve now visited The New Inn 3 times in the past few months - twice for an incredible roast and today for lunch. The roast is hands down the best roast I’ve had in a restaurant! Really good portion sizes - We were so impressed with the variety of veg/sides - the potatoes were so crispy and yummy! What a lovely welcoming pub. The chef had changed recently and we wanted to try it. The food was amazing! I had fish and chips - the fish (as all ingredients I was told) was bought that day and was beautifully white and soft. Best triple cooked chips ever! My grown up daughter had the salmon with a crab croquette - which we all tried and agreed this was the star of the show - and my husband who had eaten earlier in the day had the charcuterie board - which was filled to the brim!...read full review
