Rose & Crown Hartwell

Not a regular and only arrived at this pub as I was in the area for other activities. Our group had food and drink and I can only say it was absolutely lovely. The staff were amazing the food was of a very high standard and the atmosphere was great. If I lived closer I would definitely go again without hesitation. What a find. Upon arrival there is a large car park to the rear, with a beer garden. Inside the owners greeted us warmly. The menu offered a very good selection of food and we were not rushed into making a decision. Good portions of food and very tasty, homemade. The bar area is large and dogs are allowed in here. First visit today for Sunday lunch. Very welcoming staff, fantastic service and the food was first class. Will definitely be returning. Recommend Sunday roast, salmon fish cakes, and salad and the desserts were delicious.
