The Sorrel Horse

My Dad and I recently stayed in the holiday flat above the pub for a short walking holiday. We arrived to a very warm welcome from the lovely staff and despite having not planned ahead and booked a table they were able to squeeze us in for dinner which was hearty traditional pub fayre - just what we needed after a 12 mile hike! We recently hired the barn for a wake and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Ryan planned and delivered the menu exactly how we wanted and the food was delicious, fish and chips, scampi and chips and a cream tea. Scones were freshly baked and served with fresh strawberries and clotted cream. We felt like the service had gone above and beyond what we paid for. Very reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere

Lovely small family run pub, with tasty food and decent portions! We recently visited for a roast dinner and got all the trimmings which did not disappoint. Lots of beef too! Roasted carrots and parsnips were super yummy. Landlord is friendly and will definitely look after you!! Children also enjoyed their food, again super portions and value for money.
