The Crown at Ampney Brook

We have been to The Crown before as we own a holiday home nearby and their breakfast is excellent.<br>So my wife and decided to treat ourselves to Sunday lunch and were really looking forward to it.<br>When we arrived we had to wait a while until a couple of staff arrived- the male waiter’s shirt had not been ironed ,looked extremely creased and they seemed a bit flustered. Fantastic anniversary meal!<br><br>The food was excellent, the best scotchegg i've had.<br><br>Decent steak too.<br><br>The pod was lovely, although there was a little confusion over rental, etc.<br><br>All in all, it was great!

I have been wanting to come here for a while and ended up coming on a hen do weekend for lunch. They had an event going on in the garden but that didn't affect the service we were provided with. The staff were fantastic. The food and drinks were delightful and i will definitely be back again!
