The St Leonards

Hadn't been for a long time and went for a unplanned meal out. Service was very patchy, a large table occupying the staffs attention and basically not enough staff to look after others. Staff were lovely and helpful but we had to keep approaching them. Is it self service? It felt like it. Meal very mediocre, chicken dry and overcooked.Avoid on Sundays as menu limited and GF even less.

Rooms: Was very happy with my double en-suite room. The room was clean and comfortable. Two shortbread biscuits every morning was a nice touch.<br><br>Safety: I felt very safe. We will return.<br><br>Walkability: Was easy to get around, no obstructions.<br><br>Food and drinks: Breakfast was lovely, helped ourselves to the buffet,with plenty of choice. Ordered hot food with the waitress. A selection of teas, coffee, and fruit juices.

We only stopped in for food as it's a discount on the blue light card, but the food was tasty, I had the hunters chicken which had just the right amount of sauce rather than swamping it, found a table tucked away and they allow dogs which for us was great!
