Very friendly and welcoming service. Great atmosphere and delicious ale. Proper pub!<br><br>Vegetarian options: My wife and daughter had the vegetarian option of polenta which was fantastic!

A characterful village centre pub serving a good range of drinks as well as tasty home made food. Staff are welcoming and cheery and the pub is full of old style charm.<br><br>Parking: The pub car park is quite limited but there is some limited on street parking a minutes walk up the road or, the much larger, free village car park is just 3 minutes walk in the opposite direction.

We went for Sunday lunch on Aug 18th 2024, the staff all mainly young are a breath of fresh air, they are chatty, very polite and knowledgeable of the menu, we had Sunday lunch which was either beef or pork or you could have both! Homemade yorkshire puddings, the carrots were excellent slow roasted, my daughter who dislikes carrots ate the lot, a mixture of red/ green cabbage beautiful spiced , overall will go again and certainly recommend, well done taverners
