Restaurant Hjem

Have been fortunate enough to visit Hjem on 2 separate occasions and both were equally superb. Both times we stayed over, the first in a small/basic double room about the restaurant, and second time in one of the fantastic lodges over the road. A beautiful one in a lifetime dining experience. Everything was perfect! The waiter was extremely friendly and informative - we learnt so much from him. Had the taster menu paired with the non-alcohol drinks, which was magical. Very impressed with the non-alcoholic amaretto! The food was delightful - couldn't fault it at all. Hjem is also very accommodating to food preferences. It truly was a magical once in a lifetime experience - fine dining at its best.

Hmmm for overall 750 pounds for two! (including the lodge stay with breakfast and no wine pairing) I just expected more…. It’s a tasty and fun dinner (good service, nice vibe), a nice pre served (sitting on the table before we came) breakfast. The rest is just a B&B experience with not very smiley staff in the morning.
