Old Buttercross

Welcoming, friendly and brilliant service from the staff, I recently visited with my family and due to the boys being fussy eaters and me trying to eat healthy (which is always hard when eating out), the staff were accommodating when requested to swap certain food items, I also really appreciated it when the wait staff come back and checked after a few minutes if everything was to our satisfaction (not many places seem to do this anymore, 5* just for this alone). Went for a quick bite to eat here, first time in this particular pub, was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, a bit of a wait but was fairly busy so understandable. But overall what you expect from a Marstons.

A group of 23 family and friends met up at the Old Buttercross and the staff reserved an area for us. The staff were lovely and attentive. The pub has a pleasant atmosphere and is lovely and clean. The food was tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed my surf and turf. I would definitely recommend a visit.
