Rasoy

I had been working away in Epsom all weekend, so popped in on spec, having not booked a table, and I was fitted in no problem. Pleasant staff catered for me very well. there were four of us, for a mid-week dinner. None of us had been to Rasoy before. The food was very good. However, the waiter forgot one of the dishes which only arrived almost at the end of our meal. Then, when the bill arrived, two items we had not ordered, or seen had been added in. These were removed once pointed out. This rather took the edge off the experience and we are doubtful of a return.

Too many Indian restaurants use a ‘base’ sauce and only add a few different things each time to create differently named dishes. Thankfully, Rasoy is NOT such a place. Each dish looked and tasted freshly cooked and the service was efficient and non intrusive. Not the cheapest but given it’s in the heart of Claygate, that’s hardly surprising. Will certainly return.
