My wife and I visited here for an evening meal during a holiday in the area. Nice enough surroundings and a lovely warm fire on the go. I ordered steak pie with potatoes and vegetables, which was poor. Reminded me of a school dinner, boil in the bag vegetables and potatoes, a puff pastry lid on some steak and gravy filling. Perhaps it was just my choice of main, but I would not return.
Popped in for an early dinner, everyone agreed the food was fantastic, drinks were OK. Service was great, nice atmosphere and dog friendly in and outside. The pricing was the average for the area. The only thing that let it down a little was the cappuccino, it was more of a flat white with a dusting of chocolate.<br><br>Easy 4/5 will definitely eat here again.
Really nice place. Stopped in for lunch mid afternoon, so not too busy.The service was good, a nice selection of decent beers and the food was very good indeed. The mac & cheese was properly cheesy & the chips were crispy and tasty. The fish was properly cooked, white and delicious, the chips similarly good.Definitely recommended.
