Markie Dans in Oban is a true gem. We were thoroughly impressed! The food was excellent, with a great selection of classic pub dishes and hearty specialties, all fresh and delicious. I entered the pub just as it opened on Sunday, so plenty of seating was available. The young barkeep instructed me to “Take any table, we’ll get menus to you.” After about 10 minutes, my husband joined me at my table and I mentioned that the group that sat down after me had already been approached by waitstaff.
