Greenmantle Bar & Kitchen

A bit of a stretch, we waited our food for 50 minutes for a chicken salad and sandwich (it was not crowded) but I gave it a 4-star since the food was really great and interior was really beautiful.

We visited during the fringe, and enjoyed some drinks and food. The food was surprisingly tasty - I particularly enjoyed the Nacho Waffle Fries. I am giving 4 stars as I felt the place was a little unclean. The tables and floors were sticky and so were the menus. Part of this adds to the character but I did feel the place needed a good deep clean. You could also smell the toilets if you were sat near the toilet door.

This place has a great atmosphere. Perfect for groups to grab a drink and catch up or play some fun pub games. They offer student deals on beverages and they have an extensive food menu. I love to stop here when I'm in Edinburgh and I always have a great time!
