Rector's Café

We popped in here after a very long bus journey to have a quick spot of lunch. We decided to go for the toasties and crisps which were very tasty if not slightly overpriced. We felt the staff were friendly and the general ambience of the café was pleasant although it was hard to find a seat as there were many people sitting at tables with laptops but no food/drinks. Rector's was the very first place I visited in St Andrews, so it's quite nostalgic for me. It is a fab coffee place with a unique vibe, perfect for studying or chillin out with friends. They have quite a large selection of hot drinks, and lots of sweet baked goods as well. You can get some food (mostly sandwiches/wraps) too. great wee cafe, off the beaten track of coffee shops in town, yet handy for the bus station . Cakes and coffee delicious , staff excellent, very friendly and polite. ( Students, I think, good advert for the uni) We always go here when we are in St Andrews ( which is 2-3 times a year)
