Good value for money in terms of food. Generous portions and well prepared. Service was really good. The only negative on this occasion was the unpleasant smell left by, I presume, some cleaning chemical.

Lovely pub and restaurant in the centre of Ulverston. The staff were friendly, the pub is attractive and inviting, with little rooms, and a real open fire. Good selection of beers and ales at a good price. Great choice of food, cooked to perfection, warm and tasty, good portions, great value.

We booked for dinner and we took our two large dogs with us. They accommodated us very well. We were given a table big enough to get both dogs under. They stayed under there with a treat each whilst we ate our meal.<br>The food was excellent.
