The Old Sun Inn

Enjoyed a great family meal here on a Friday evening. The pub was busy but the service was pretty good (if a little rushed) and the food was really excellent - particularly the homemade pie! The portions were huge (could easily share). Would definitely go back again.

Visited her for Sunday lunch after it had been recommended. I chose the lamb shank, which was well cooked but the vegetables were all over cooked and the roast potatoes did not look like they had seen any fat, they were still white and soft. We then had to wait for a waitress to come near us to ask for the desert menu as we had not been offered it. A PROPER PUB, PUB. ❤️❤️❤️❤️<br>Staff were lovely, we loved the log burner and delightful classic pub food. Next time we're in Buxton, we'll absolutely be back.
