Lovely staff, but very disappointing Sunday lunches. Gritty undercooked vegetables, overcooked rubbery meat, elderly roast potatoes. The fish and chips looked nicer. Wish I'd chosen it. Nice place for a drink though.
Absolutely brilliant. Finally this pub, with its beautiful garden is under excellent management. Brilliant food, great staff, lovely atmosphere.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of chairs, decent kid food. Keep an eye on your kid in the garden as there’s a river
The sister pub of the Queens Inn pub/brewery on Kingsgate Street. A Green King pub with the usual, and at the time of our visit, one cask from the brewery. They are on opposite sides of town, so make sure you get the correct one, but there's nothing wrong with a thirty minute walk between the two. Nice little River (stream) side garden. Only had drinks, not food.
