Love this place. Husband and I try to visit for a date lunch every couple of months or so. Tapas style plates suits us and we share each one. Just sooo delicious !

One day we’ll make it to an evening visit.

See you later this month!

Great cafe. Best cappuccino I have had on our trip. Pain Au raisin was nice. I wish I could have spent a morning there reading a paper and people watching! Great music too.

By the way The manager was amazing (tall brunette lady). So nice. Gave us great suggestions on other Cotswold gems which we followed and they were wonderful. What a pleasant surprise!

Food and service were exceptional. Ribeye and the pork were both cooked to perfection. My Husband said the cheesecake was the nicest he’d ever had, high praise because he is very specific about how he likes his food. A* all around. We didn’t stay so o can’t comment on the rooms etc.

Really enjoyed Sunday Roast here after lovely walk. Excellent quality of beef, and lots of fresh vegetables for reasonable price. Atmosphere friendly and vibrant. Choc brownie was also delicious, chewy and not too sweet. Service was polite and friendly, but a little unorganised. Asked three times by different staff if we'd ordered drinks but then had to get someone's attention to order food as no-one came to take food order, but this didn'tdistract from a great meal. Will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu.

Stayed for two nights Friday and Saturday for my sons wedding. Check in was simple and the staff were extremely helpful especially regarding with parking in Woodstock. The room was called Alfred and was beautifully decorated and very clean with tea and coffee facilities. 3min walk to St Mary Magdalene church and 10 to 15 min walk to Blenheim Palace dependent on footwear. I would recommend this pub/hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay

Went in for a lovely Sunday roast with four friends. Staff we very polite and service was good. Even offered and got a bowl of water for the dog.
Roast dinner was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed, well cooked, good sized portions and great selection of veg.
All had dessert too. Again very tasty but a struggle to eat after a big roast.
Would definitely go back again. Yum!

Lovely food, chef/server took great care of us; the ravioli starter was sublime along with the rest of the set menu served was a delight. A nice break from the "pub grub" widely served within woodstock. Will be coming back with the family to support this local independent Italian.

Visited on a Sunday evening with some friends for a drink. Ambiance was cosy and calm. We wanted to stay a bit longer but they stopped serving cold drinks and food after 7pm. Cinderella mocktail was good and generous.

The Museum I found very interesting with easy to look at and understand exhibits even showing a find that was dug up not far from where I live and never knew about. It’s a place I would like to return to visit the other museums as well. I cannot comment on the food or service as the cafe was

The service was out of this world, so friendly and welcoming. The pizzas were terrific and they even had boxes to go because I wasn’t able to polish off one by myself.

We are local and we love Chef Imperial for our Chinese takeaway meals. We recommend the grilled pork dumplings, chicken with cashew nuts peking style, and singapore noodles. We have tried a lot from this restaurant for takeaways and haven’t been disappointed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant for your Chinese takeout. Such great variety on the menu, the food is super fresh, and the man who works at the front of house is extremely friendly.

We came here for afternoon tea for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and surprisingly filling (scones were warm), tea was hot and fresh, and service was good (they were prompt and polite when we asked for things, but no one checked in on us and we had to flag someone down for more tea). The birthday card was also a sweet added touch. For the price I would highly recommend

Stopped in for breakfast on a wet and windy morning at 9.30. Met and seated by a lovely, helpful young lady.
The breakfasts were huge and very tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. If you are in Woodstock I would highly recommend this delightful old pub.
