Giggling Squid topped the bill at the bottom of the hill. Staff excellent, being served by Alan. The Squid bits perfect and the pork dumplings , served in own small bowls with sauce. I had the Pawnee prawns whilst partner had red curry. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Presentation fantastic and good.atmosphere.. polite but chatty dining.
Well worth a visit..

Shiplake Row, Henley-on-ThamesI only turned up ( a little early) to pick my partner up and ended up joining in on the meal. The food and the staff were beyond excellent, I piggy backed on the tasting menu and look forward to going back. Banter from the owners made the evening relaxing and fun.

Went here for the first time last Friday with some friends, was a bit quiet to start with but gave us a great opportunity to have a chat with the owner. It very quickly got busy! We ordered our food and all of us were blown away by the quality and flavour. I will definitely be eating back here very soon.

21 Reading Rd, Henley-on-ThamesHad a wonderful meal here after the restaurant was recommended to us by a Nepalese friend. Being greeted by the chef was a particularly nice touch. Having enjoyed some of the excellent Indian food that Henley has to offer, we were keen to try some of the Nepalese offerings on the menu. The Fewa Fish Curry was a particular highlight, tangy and sweet with a lot of interesting flavour. The naan bread was beautifully crispy and a generous size! We'll be here again.

They got good choices of sandwiches and hot food and drinks.
Staff is very friendly.
There are outdoor seatings with beautiful views of the Thames waterfront. There are toliets on premise.
Parking: There is a parking lot a short walking distance from the cafe. On a nice sunny days, it will be a bit stuggle to find a spot. There are also street parking nearby.

We were offered a choice of tables and then the fun really began … our sever (Rob) took a genuine interest in making it the best experience possible, he took the time to recommend both wines (allowing us to try different varieties) and also food choices. We felt like part of the family from start to finish. Stunning food and wine, couldn’t fault any aspect of the visit. Great value for money for the premium items being offered. In addition the staff gave us recommendations for the remainder of our stay in Henley. Would recommend without hesitation!

The Golden Ball, Lower Assendon, Henley-on-ThamesMother's Day was made extra special by having lunch here. The food was exceptional. Delicious and full of flavour. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely touch was a glass of champagne for "the Mum"!
I cannot recommend The Golden Ball highly enough .. there are not enough superlatives to do it justice. Bring your family and friends for the very best dining experience.

The Unicorn, Colmore Ln, Henley-on-ThamesA great local pub. We discovered this pub, late on a Saturday afternoon by chance. The Landlady and her staff could not have treated us any better. They managed to squeeze us into a busy food service, and the food was delicious. Recommended.

The young lady who served us was polite and helpful.
Pizzas were good.
Unfortunately they didn’t have the meat one and we had to take more time to choose something else.
The lady told me about the app that I didn’t have so I downloaded it and it turned out I have some free side dish and I collect stamps.

8 Hart St, Henley-on-ThamesA true orchestra of spices, herbs and culinary skill. I started with the pakora, light, crispy, beautifully prepared and presented to the table, the drizzle of tamarind sauce that lifts the delicate balances of spices to a perfect starter.
With a glass of Malbec I was introduced to the lamb raghisthan, a salivating Bouquet of Kashmir chilli and mixed herbs and spices with a depth of flavour that meets the Indian Ocean. The lamb is as soft as your grandmothers kiss and when mixed with cardamom pilau rice a symphony takes place on your tongue that in emulated by the gentle background of music. Making you feel you are transported to precolonial India. All the service was warm hearted and professional, yet I felt I was eating with friends who want to see you truly enjoy the magic they have created for you to eat. My only regret is not having a bigger stomach and wallet to try everything they have to offer. I ate alone but I can only recommend bringing all the friends and family for a truly wonderful night.

Nettlebed, Henley-on-ThamesSuperb! Only one option for lunch but what an option! Their cheese toastie is legendary and I'm going again on Friday. Deli counter and shop is a wonderful bonus. Great atmosphere, super friendly smiley staff, dogs welcome and a lovely walk afterwards. Lots of parking too ?

I had a really bad experience with some hotel food that i decided I really needed a burger to satisfy my hunger, really not expecting to have the best burger I think i have ever had in England. I do not say this lightly as i travel lots and eat lots of food all over! Great quality smash burgers made to order which can be customised! I didn't get to catch the guys name, but he was clearly very passionate about food and told me a little of his background involving the butcher trade!

The Old Bell
20 Bell St, Henley-on-ThamesWe went there for a couple of drinks before dinner on an October Saturday evening. We absolutely loved the atmosphere. The pub is located in an old building dating from 1365 (!!), ceilings are quite low (mind your head if you're tall) and it was full of locals. The team behind the bar was very welcoming.
There's a beer garden in the back with heating poles if needed, but we stayed by the counter and played some boardgames with a Guinness and an espresso martini in hand.

Funding parking was a small issue. But sorted out in long atay and short stay parking.

Nearby activities: River,amazing streets with character and charm .a shame Bix Manir functions have ceased, a wonderful legacy to the town.
Safety: Perfectly safe
Walkability: Everything in town is walkable
Food and drinks: Amazing in the Catherine wheel and in town.
Noteworthy details: The tomb,/ bin are extremely busy ,fine, and have great food. Poor service skills g mevmxt door on the left a fantastic little gem. Staff were super nice, courteous, helpful, and accommodating. Go there, tgats for sure.

Newlands Ln, Stoke Row, Henley-on-ThamesWe held a family event here for c. 40 guests including children and were immensely impressed by the a) setting of the marquee, a really cosy and atmospheric but spacious area; b) the level of service, with the food being served very promptly despite us having the full menu to choose from; and c) the quality of the food on offer. The kids had a great little area to play in leaving the adults to have fun in relative peace. Thank you to Paul and the team.

Happily almost all the good things remain - cosy atmosphere, friendly service, the AWT burger and generous portions. It was the starters that really showed off the kitchen’s skills with the crab three ways the standout dish. Good burgers and lovely perfectly cooked halibut were highlights of the main courses, but the star turn was the fabulous crunchy wagyu chips. Perfect. Good selection of wines starting at about £22/bottle and epic gin list.
