We booked last minute on line for Sunday lunch and we're not disappointed. A lovely menu, wonderful atmosphere, sat next to the open fire, exceptional service by all the staff. Excellent value. I thought a true authentic pub lunch was a thing of the past but it still exists here in Frant. We booked in advance online which was easy. When we arrived we had a drink at the bar first which was fine then went to our table. From that point I think we were forgotten. We waited around 10 minutes for a waiter and no one came over. I had to get up and ask to order. Our meals arrived and then it took over 5 minutes to get mayonnaise and ketchup and again I had to ask what was going on. No one checked on us or asked if we wanted anything else. First visit for Sunday lunch and I had the Salmon Nicoise Salad which was fantastic. Beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. I often feel let down by anything to do with a salad so this was a very welcome change. Pudding was sticky toffee which was tasty and light with a generous scoop of ice cream and sauce. The staff were attentive and engaging. Thanks team, we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
