We had booked this for our honeymoon and had evening plans afterwards which is why we had an early reservation. We went for afternoon tea, and despite me being unwell and dozy, it was the most wonderful and memorable experience. The staff could not have been more attentive and kind, the tea was wonderful. Due to my health problems, I ordered coffee by mistake, they changed it with no problem, but were concerned that it was their mistake. Every aspect of our visit was exceptional. A warm welcome from all staff at all times. A treat to meet Michael Caines again. Room quality and decor in Nuthatch was first class. A bit quirky (in a good way). Loved the TV on the easel, pantry was a nice touch. Cakes and biscuits an added treat. Didn’t have time to sample complementary G&T. Again a nice extra.
