Il Bistro

We came to il Bistro on a Sunday night to have a roast. Sadly, they only had the pork roast left and a lot of items were not available anymore. The pork itself was quite dry, vegetables were good, potatoes did not look fresh, they were so hard. The taste in general was pretty good but the little details to the dish were disappointing. We visited iL Bistro for the first time and although the food was lovely (when the correct order was brought out) the service was shocking! We waited close to 15 just to have our drinks order taken which then took another 10 minutes after ordering to come. Our starters came to the table and was not the food we ordered. Overall the food was brilliant but staff and service need to be worked on. Such a shame as this could be a real little gem of an Italian.

I’d been meaning to try out Il Bistro on any one of the many times I’d walked past in 15 years of living in Brighton, and finally made it having moved out of town, on a wet Sunday night.
