I've not been to Alfred's for a while, but called last night for tea on the spur of the moment with my two teenagers. Oh my goodness, what a delicious meal we had. I remembered just why we always liked it!!! I had the salt and pepper basket one daughter had the peppercorn basket. It really was delicious. Lovely little restraunt in centre of Bury. Was visiting for wifes 40th on tuesday evening and couldnt have been a better night, food was outstanding,my son in law said was best steak he had ever eaten, and with the children being super picky eaters they even went the extra mile by adjusting the dishes. We had two servers, a lady who took and adjusted the orders and then Matt who looked after us later, both were brilliant. Thank you so much guys for making her 40th a great night....read full review

Alfreds were able to seat us on a busy saterday evening without booking. Jack was very helpful and service was great. My wife and I both had a pizza which were delicious, and we also had a marble milkshake and a raspberry white chocolate milkshake which were probably the best milkshakes weve ever had!
