The Rochester Bar

Perfect base lovely surroundings. Beautiful room spacious clean the bathroom really big with double sinks & beautiful bath the bed was huge & comfortable I absolutely loved the room & at an amazing price. Staff friendly the only down point to this hotel is the dated decor carpets need a change but apart from that a 4* clean comfortable stay would definitely stay again

This hotel is cheap and centrally located, with some free parking on a first come first served basis. Facilities are minimal, with no bar or restaurant, but there are plenty of eateries yards away in the High Street. Our room was clean, with working TV and kettle/teabags etc. The hotel overall was somewhat run down, but everything in our room worked. Firstly let me confess that I read the previous reviews of this hotel before booking it. The reviews were critical but I am happy to say that I have nothing but the highest praise for the hotel and the staff. The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was powerful and easy to adjust. There was a superb view overlooking both the castle and the cathedral. The staff were friendly and attentive and quickly resolved a couple of minor issues.
