Monboddo

Monboddo is a good go-to restaurant while staying at the Doubtree Hilton in Edinburgh. Although I would not have chosen to dine there as many times if I weren't a hotel guest. Location and availability were a great convenience while traveling. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering the main staples of a hearty Scottish breakfast. Great spot for a bite to eat. After a long travel day, it was a pleasant surprise here at Monboddo. I had the Club Sandwich which is divine. A beautiful chicken breast with bacon , lettuce, tomato, and the most delicious Sriracha Mayonnaise. Service here is wonderful and the wine was great! Highly recommend this restaurant

When we arrived there was some slight confusion over our booking, as to whether we didn’t want the window seat, which the servers had a small discussion over in front of us. We were sat down, with a small A5 menu, double sided with the menu printed on both sides. There was a key at the bottom of the menu for dietary information, but the menu failed to display any of them on their menu.
