At last a proper English fish & chip shop.Excellent prices & polite friendly staff. Simon the Owner very professional & helpful. Excellent large cod & crispy chips.On the counter wooden forks / napkins/ salt / vinegars. All free unlike other chip shops.Lovely friendly lady behind counter serving.I would highly recommend this place. ?

Ordered online on their website. Very good value and cooked properly, not greasy like many others in the area. Generous large chip portion comfortably enough for 2-3 people. Staff were working hard but ignored anyone walking in until they were ready to acknowledge them which was a little disappointing, but if fewer staff helps keep the prices down then I can live with that. Good value and decent food. Nice to have the option of pollock on the menu. Nice crisp batter on the fish and neither the fish or chips were greasy. Pollock, small chips and mushy peas cost £9.60.The ladies serving were polite and helpful but the guy doing the frying seemed annoyed that I ordered pollock rather than having one of the several pieces of cod he had pre-cooked in the cabinet - which looked to have been there some time already as the shop wasn’t busy.I would always...read full review
