Great fish and chips takeaway and restaurant just outside Braintree centre. We sat in and the restaurant was simple but charming, traditional, and spotlessly clean. I always think it's a sign of a good chippy when you have plenty of elderly couples dining in. The food was very good with decent portions at a reasonable price. Excellent fish and chips. My husband doesn't enjoy fish and chips so I thought he could have a dessert. Unfortunately they are no longer available.<br>He settled for egg and chips and a coffee. I had rock eel.<br>When the bill came, we were charged a reduced rate for my husband's meal and coffee, which was much appreciated.<br><br>Wheelchair accessibility: They are very accommodating
