Cozy and friendly pub serving a menu of pub classics. The meat eaters in our group really enjoyed their meals which were all homemade and generous in size. Beer selection is dated and limited. No vegan options on the menu but the staff enquired with the chef who provided a hand written list of 4 or 5 vegan options which mirrored the pub classic cooking style of the main menu. Great place. You need to book. They squeezed 2 of us in as we hadn't booked. It was a lovely atmosphere. Food was amazing. Service perfect. Booked Sunday lunch. Warm and friendly staff. You need to try the Black vanilla ice cream!!!!<br>With tiramisu.<br>2 for £30 steak. With a free bottle of wine. Steaks cooked to perfection. Piping hot. X

Went in for Sunday roast today, booking advisable. Service was excellent, friendly staff.<br>Food was delicious and plentiful. Huge serving, definitely worth the cost.<br>Will recommend, and return when we're up this way again.<br><br>Parking: Free for customers parking at rear of pub.
