The View Oban

Large modern bar geared up for groups of visiting tourists I think. It was when I popped in anyway. I went in as it served beer and I was on a crawl. The Guinness was decent and the view was good. Has pool table and a dance floor. Was only in briefly and I enjoyed myself. Possibly a pub to visit if you’re unsure of your pubs or in a large group with children. Serves food? ???????

Extremely courteous, friendly staff who served us immediately. Fantastic views over the harbor, especially watching the arrival of the Macbrayn ferry is a highlight. The food was very tasty and the portions were really large enough (we had Steak & Ale Pie, the House Burger and a children's menu of chicken with fries), and the waiting time was also absolutely short. It is perhaps not the most beautiful interior design. But the people make it. The events are fantastic with excellent atmosphere, enthusiastic guests and nice staff. I also like the terrace with the nice view over the harbour.
