We went just for a coffee and ended up having a cream tea. The scones were lovely and tasty. We also had a piece of carrot cake and it was a huge slice! We sat in a hut in the garden which was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend visiting.
Such a lovely stop in the hot October sunshine. Perfectly made coffee, fabulous cheesey chips and super friendly service. Ideal stop for a Long Beach walk from Cliff End to Winchelsea and back along the Royal Military Canal path. Perfect day.
When I first used this place a few years ago it was fantastic, huge portions of good old British food, Steak and Kidney Pud, Shepherds Pie etc plus Full English type Breakfasts, all at reasonable prices. Now under new owners I guess, it's posher, quicker type foods like Baps and Paninis. Plus of course the prices have gone up quite a bit. Car park has improved though, I guess that's something.
