first night we ate here was very good, it was mid week, really enjoyed my food and the service was very good, went back on the Sunday but unfortunately not as good, seemed to be short staff had to wait quite a long time to check in, the roast meat it's self was good but not so much the potatoes and didn't get all our vegetables till half way through the meal, but overall if in the area again would go back, nice building, always like places with lots of nooks and crannies...read full review

Found our way here by accident and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We requested a top floor, in hope of the quietest night possible, which they gave us, even though it's a family sized room and there was just the two of us. We found ourselves at breakfast saying to the waitress that if we didn't have pending plans, we would have stayed and just relaxed another day.

Food score based on what we saw served and reaction from people eating. Made very welcome, good beer and a lovely restaurant area. We plebs stayed in the bar. Prices are in my opinion going rate for food, High quality as it appeared with a lot sourced local etc. Smelt absolutely gorgeous, now salavating so need to round up. Good FOOD, good. Beer and a local country pub atmosphere.
